Paul Hurrell - Business Development Manager

With over six years of experience in the conveyancing and legal sector, I bring a unique blend of property expertise and legal tech knowledge to my role at First4Lawyers. My journey to F4L has been anything but conventional. I started my career as an Estate Agent in London and progressed to Area Manager, leading teams and managing high-profile sales across the city. One of the proudest moments in that chapter of my career was working on the prestigious Battersea Power Station development, an iconic project where I had the opportunity to market and sell distinctive commercial and residential units.

After leaving estate agency, I transitioned into the legal tech world, where my passion for innovation and improving the conveyancing process really took hold. Today, my focus is on business development - helping law firms grow their conveyancing departments through smart marketing strategies and tech-driven solutions.

Life at First4Lawyers

What do I enjoy most about working at F4L? Honestly, it’s incredibly rewarding to speak to prospective clients, understand their challenges, and provide tailored solutions that genuinely help their businesses thrive. Demonstrating our F4L platform and showing how it can support firms in driving revenue is a real highlight for me.
My role plays a key part in helping clients succeed - by developing marketing strategies that generate new business and boost revenue, I help ensure our partner law firms stay competitive and well-positioned for growth.

What makes F4L stand out for me is the culture. I really value the flexibility, the autonomy to manage my workload, and the support to pursue my own professional goals. It’s a place where I feel trusted and empowered to make a real impact.

Life Outside of Work

Outside of the office, I enjoy all things outdoors—whether that’s hiking, kayaking, or getting lost in the atmosphere of a music festival. I’ve always had a strong sense of adventure, and that carries through in my personal and professional life.

Something that often surprises people is that I served as a Police Officer in the Metropolitan Police for two years. It was a challenging and rewarding experience that taught me a lot about resilience and communication.

As a child, I dreamed of becoming an airline pilot—drawn to the idea of travel, precision, and responsibility. That same drive still motivates me today. I’m results-driven and constantly looking to learn, grow, and improve my skills while setting and achieving new personal and professional goals.
